Unboxing: INFINITE Sunggyu's Another Me Album

Hello readers~
If you guys know me personally, you'll know that I'm an Inspirit (INFINITE's fanclub). I actually preordered Sunggyu's (The leader and vocal of INFINITE) new solo album before it was released so this is a very late unboxing post. But nevertheless, it has arrived!

I seriously don't know about the black packaging, am I supposed to keep it? (I did but it's all wrinkly and cut through). The letters are made using a different material which creates a light sheen.

Is it bad that I can't stop look at his side burns?

My camera refused to focus in the below picture. It would have been a good one.

Rather than photocards, they provided 2 stickers. One side has his photo, and the other has 'Kim Sungkyu Another Me'. 690 albums were autographed and distributed randomly with his photocard though. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll get one.

I find stickers completely useless, I don't think anyone would use them. Or maybe that's just my biased thoughts speaking. I want more photocards! The only one I have currently is Sungyeol's one from their Paradise Repackaged album.

I purchased it with the poster. Never again will I purchased a folded poster, it completely ruins the poster. Not to mention, that the album was not packaged properly, creating an almost tear in the middle of it. I bought my poser from the eBay seller: estrosrns. It came with a tracking number and was dispatched straight after album release. Always check to see if your purchase will be counted towards the Hanteo Charts, because that way, it'll count towards album sales and music charts.

I love every single song in this album (in my unbiased point of view). It's definitely at the top for Best Kpop Albums in 2013, behind Block B's Blockbuster. However, it doesn't seem to be doing too well in Korea. I wish he would have promoted 41 days!

Why is Sunggyu's face covered? I get it's artistic intention but...

I purchased the album for around $18! It's a lot cheaper when it is preordered.

P.S. Why does Woollim prefer K over G when most Inspirits use G? It makes tagging so much harder.
P.S.S. I know that Hangul ㄱ can be referred to as k or g, but it's the matter of which one is used more frequently. It took me way too long to figure if I should make the title of this post 'Sunggyu' or 'Sungkyu'.

Until next time, annyeong~

Wanderlust PART 1: Korean and Japanese beauty stores in Sydney, Australia + Boxing Day sales shopping

Hello readers~
So I've decided to start blogging about my daily adventures other than beauty related reviews, tutorials etc.

On the 26th of December, my parents and I decided to go to the City for sushi at Umi Kaiten Zushi before joining the bodies of sale hungry consumers.
We went to Paddy's Markets first, which is an 'underground' market under Market City filled with stores selling various miscellaneous items. You can buy beauty products, clothing, accessories and much more. The prices are fairly affordable depending on what you purchased. I purchased a Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick in Fifth Ave Fuchsia for $6.

The sole purpose as to why I visited Paddy's first was to purchase a black floppy sun hat. It's currently Summer here in Australia and I am trying not to tan (unlike the majority here). What other way to avoid the sun than to wear a hat which could act as a fashion statement?

I visited AHA Japanese Cosmetics in Market City. Tsubasa Masuwaka!
AHA Japanese Cosmetics is a store which focuses on Asian products ranging from beauty to health.

They have three stores in Sydney, and there addresses are as follows:

Market City
9-13 Hay Street, Haymarket NSW 2000
(02) 9280 2559

Sussex Street
389-391 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000
(02) 9211 0668

Summit Arcade
559 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000
(02) 9283 9288

[EDIT]

A'HA Cosmetics opened in Strathfield and Parramatta.

Also Blush Cosmetics is another store that sells Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese beauty products. They have several stores in Central, Haymarket and World Square.

Sorry about not taking more photos. I get really immensed when shopping for beauty products but my parents were waiting so I decided to go before I got too attached.

Espirit was having a 30% off everything for their Boxing Day promotions. The reason why I only took a photo of Espirit was because all of the stores were packed.

I wanted the heeled boots in Espirit but my mum doesn't allow me to wear heeled shoes due to my height. I'd be too tall, they said. This is probably why I don't have a lot of shoes.

Market City was decorated with spiralling snowflakes for the festive season, so pretty.

 Chinatown

I found a newly opened (?) beauty store which sells brands like Clio, Dolly Wink, Dr Jart and various other brands. The prices are differ slightly. Some products are cheaper than other stores while there are some which are more expensive. For example, the AKA Japanese beauty store sells the Dolly Wink Eyelash Fix for $25 while this store sells it for $26.50. However, their Koji eyelash glue is cheaper than AKA.

The store is situated between Meet Fresh and Media Asia in Chinatown.

Couldn't resist taking a photo of Sunggyu's poster... His face is half covered.

Meet Fresh is a store which was started by a Taiwanese couple with the sole dream of making Taiwanese desserts! I have yet to try it, but many people have told that their portions are huge! So bring a group of friends to try their desserts.

Review: My Beauty Diary Bulgarian White Rose Mask

Hello! Some of my readers saw my SASA haul post right? I bought a variety of My Beauty Diary masks to try and this would be the first type I will be reviewing~
The Bulgarian White Rose Mask.

My beauty Diary Bulgarian White Rose Mask realizes translucent and white skin. It is ideal for all skin types, especially dull skin.
Perform translucent and white skin: containing Bulgarian White Rose hydrosol, it soothes and hydrates skin. Blended with licorice and kiwi essence, it whitens and nourishes skin, for bright, fine, translucent and white skin.
Leave skin watery and soft: natural hydrating ingredients including aloe, cucumber, seaweed and botanic collagen, instantly hydrate and energize skin, keeping skin watery and youthful.
Amazing Nanospheres Technology: Structured with plenty of tiny holes, it enhances absorption of nourishment, leaving skin moisturized. (Taken from SASA)

A pro to using facial masks is the amount of essence in each pack. It's enough for use as an after treatment or night essence.

The mask is controued correctly to suit my face. The material is a lot thinner than Beautymate, something I noticed immediately. This is a good thing as it allows your skin to use as much essence as possible, rather than having it soaked up in the mask sheet itself.

It completely dried in around 1 and a half hours (90 minutes). You can tell it's dry when it turns an opaque white.

My skin looked visibly whiter, which lasted around a day. I did not experience any immediate break outs which is a good thing because I could not say the same thing about the Bird's Nest one.
My skin felt hydrated and smooth. The essence itself has a STRONG rose scent which dissipates a while after you take off the mask. However, I quite adore the scent of roses so I was happy that my room ended up smelling florally.

Pros:
  • Visibly whitens which is what it advertises
  • Hydrates
  • Moisturises
  • Affordable (bought for $1.10)
  • No adverse side effects like breakouts
Cons:
  • The rose scent might be too overwhelming for some people.
  • Took a long time to completely dry. A lot longer than the suggested 20-30 minutes.
  • Leaves a sticky feeling on your fingers and skin before it dries
