Review: KOJI Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black

Here is my promised Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner review! I promised myself that I would do something productive today so I decided to do this long awaited review. School work can wait since I just finished my Ancient History exam after a few days of cramming so let's call this a break.

What is it? (Taken from SASA.COM)

Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner has a ultra fine yet flexible point tip, which allow greater precision with a easy to handle eyelining experience. The deep dazzling black can accentuate the glamorous eyes of yours, giving you a more defined look. This eyeliner is waterproof, sweat proof and with the quick dry formula, the eyeliner can stay on for hours without a smudge. Your look will be long wearing and gorgeous even without touch-up.

I'm so disappointed  that they changed the original packaging from cute and girly to a more mature look. I am such a sucker for cute packaging, I never throw them out!

The Dolly Wink range is produced and modelled by Tsubasa Masuwaka who is absolutely gorgeous. She is extremely popular in Japan, especially for her makeup using false lashes.

The past Dolly Wink liner had bows and dots and not just a repetitive flower print.

My cousin bought this in Hong Kong at a SASA outlet for HK$105 which roughly converts to around $14 which is still cheaper than eBay and other online retailers.

I should make an effort to learn basic Japanese. Is it easy? I heard it is really difficult.

The tapered pen allows for extra precision so it's perfect for people with monolid or double lids! It dries extremely quickly to prevent that annoying smudged line that appears when you blink when it has not dried properly. It happens to me all the time, and I hate it since I have to take out my makeup remover and use it, which would remove my eyeshadow as well so then I would have to redo my eye makeup.

The packaging is sleek and smooth, made out of plastic, making it easy to carry around and slip into the pocket of your jeans if need be! The cap is secure and not at risk of falling off which would dry out the eyeliner eventually.

Deepest black is pigmented and only takes one stroke to create a crisp line. It lasts around 6 hours on my oily lids which is not bad at all. However, it is not better than my Daiso liner which lasts all day without primer. The cons do outweigh the positive for my Daiso eyeliner so I cannot say which eyeliner is better.

It took me 3 rough swipes to see the eyeliner flake after drying. It is also waterproof which is a huge plus!

My roots are ghastly, but I have no plans to redye them. My hair is super damaged from just one dye. Hopefully it'll turn into an ombre soon!
