Review: Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer in #3 Transparent (에뛰드 하우스 님프 광채 볼류머)

Hello everybody!

Today I'll be reviewing the Etude House Nymph Aura volumer in #3 Transparent. This was actually one of the more expensive products I purchased at the Etude House Hong Kong Mongkok store. It was around 158 HK dollars, if I remembered correctly.

What is it?
Have you ever watched a Korean drama and wondered how the actresses (and actors) have such dewy and healthy looking skin? The secret is a volumer! You can use it in a 1:3 ratio with your BB cream or foundation to promote a glowy look. Or you can use it alone on the highpoints of your face.

Nymph Aura Volumer is a multi-functional cream that maximizes the radiance and dewy glow on skin. Completes your look with a flawless finish with plumped and moisturized skin. Create a celebrity glow by mixing it with any liquid foundation, base, or BB cream to give skin a moist radiant look. Contains Argan Oil and Avacado Oil for anti-oxidant and skin elasticity care.

Benefits:

  • Radiates
  • Dewy Finish
  • Plumps
  • Moisturizes
  • Anti-Oxidant

 Packaging:
The Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer is packaged in a sturdy plastic bottle (I'm typing this after repeatedly hitting the bottle on my table lol). The bottle is semi-opaque with a pearl tint. The cap top is decorated with a holographic decoration while the water drop symbol at the front is of reflective silver. The writing is a dark purple print.

Immediately after you open the cap, you are bombarded with the slightly baby powder like smell. If you have tried the Missha BB Cream pact, this smell exactly like that.

To avoid getting too much product, I do hold the pump down very slowly. Sometimes it takes me a couple tries to get product out.

Consistency:
The consistency is slightly thin and smooth. It's not exactly sticky, but it's perfect for the product to adhere onto the skin. The product will not absorb into your skin as it is used to promote a glowly look. Throughout the day, you can still feel the moisturising properties of this volumer.

Taken in natural light

Product:
#3 Transparent is a light pink volumer with no glitter. The #2 I believe is a pearl base while #1 seems to be catered for dry skin. It is extremely easy to blend, and even though it is in liquid form, it holds itself quite well on the skin. It is not a runny product.

During the winter time, your skin has the tendency to look dull and dry. This product will help diminish that with it's radiant properties. It has saved my skin so many times since it's Winter time in Sydney Australia. It also removes the probability of your makeup from looking 'cakey' due to it's moisturising properties. It glides on your skin easily and blends well.

No matter how many layers of face makeup I apply, my makeup does not look cakey! It's absolutely amazing. I do not need to use a base or a primer because this does well for me.

Be careful not to use too much, as you can risk yourself looking too oily. I would recommend using half a pump if you are using the 1:3 ratio method. If you do, the coverage will thin out, so applying two layers, one normally and then one using the nymph aura volumer on top.

Even though it adheres to your skin quite well, the effects will not last the entire the day. I would say 4 hours at most.

The price of $22 is fair for the amount of product you get and how much you'll use. You only need a tiny bit for the effects to show up on your skin so it is justifiable.

I have combination skin and this product still works well for me. However it does depend on how much you use. It does not settle into fine lines or promote dry areas on my skin. I did experience a plumping effect which can be thanks to the sheen from the product. It does not "plump" your actual skin, but instead uses light to manipulate the look.

With Hyaluronic Acid and Argan oil, it gives your face a moisturised look

I rate the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer in #3 Transparent a 4.5/5! This, in no means, is an essential product but it does really well for it's purpose. If you have dry, combination or sensitive skin, this product will work well for you. However, if you do have oily skin, I would not recommend this for you.

I would repurchase this product.
