Review: Aritaum Mono Eyes Eyeshadow (14, 94, 95) 아리따움 모노아이즈 리뷰

Today I am coming out of my unofficial hiatus and bring to you my review of the Aritaum Mono Eyes Eyeshadow in 14 After Hours, 94 Jack Burgundy and 95 Stand By Me.

I have picked my winners for my giveaway with Wishtrend so thank you for all the entries! We almost gathered up to 1000 entries! I will be back with another giveaway son so please do anticipate~~

Anyways, back to the review.

Aritaum is quickly becoming a cult favourite, with popular items like the Honey Tint, BB Cover, World Glam tints and now with the Aritaum Mono Eyes Eyeshadow.

What is it?

The Aritaum Mono Eyes are individual single eyeshadows, with the range containing more than 90 shades! They divide the shades by types. There 6 types to allow you to choose the eyeshadows that best suit your taste. The types are:

1. Baked Type
2. Wet Process Type
3. Cream Type
4. Pressed Glitter Pearl Type
5. Pressed Satin Pearl Type
6. Pressed Sheer Type (No Glitter)

I have three shades in three different types so let's see how it holds up.

Packaging:

The packaging doesn't feel sturdy at all. The eyeshadows are encased by a plastic cover and pot, hence it weights extremely little. Each eyeshadow is 2.5g.

Number 14 After Hour actually detached from the pot but can be easily popped back in.

I do, however, like the black packaging because it looks extremely sleek and stylish, reminiscent of MAC eyeshadows. These individual pots are perfect for on the go touch ups as they do not take up a lot of space nor weigh a lot.

Colour/Shades:

14 After Hour is extremely glittery with a neutral undertone. The gold looks gold brown when swatched but when blended, only the glitter remains.

94 Jack Burgundy is my favourite shade out of the three. Jack Burgundy is a lovely orange red that is extremely pigmented even when blended. There are little red glitter particles that reflect light and makes your eyes sparkle. Sometimes in dum lighting, it can look similar to 95 Stand By Me.

95 Stand By Me is a pure burgundy with very little glitter particles. The glitter is also small, resulting in a slight sheen rather than a glitter bomb.

All these eyeshadows are okay in pigmentation when blended but when applied over eye primer, the colours are enhanced and vibrant. I definitely recommnd using these eyeshadows in conjunction with the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer.

Texture:

As I said above, there are 6 different types and textures in the Aritaum Mono Eyes range. However today I will only be talking about the Wet Process, Pressed Glitter and Pressed Satin type.

The Wet Process type has very little fall out and adheres onto the skin quickly. The texture is buttery soft, like all these eyeshadows. Despite the glitters looking chunky in the pot, it is actually extremely fine.

Even though it has the word 'glitter' in the name, it is certainly has less sparkles than the wet process 14 After Hour. This eyeshadow is the most pigmented and shows up really well on the eyes. If you are looking for a unique eyeshadow to use, come out of yoru comfort zone with this colour! I personally love using this to emphasise my eyes.

The small red glitter particles are fine and can only be seen under certain light and intense scrutiny. Other than that, it does appear fairly matte.

95 Stand By Me is the most matte shade out of the three. There is no obvious glitter but does instead have a slight sheen. The texture is also buttery soft, and very easy to blend. Pigments are easy to pick up using the finger and eye shadow brush.

Demonstration:

All the wear time listed is with eye primer. I do not recommend you use these eyeshadows without it as they do crease and colours do not show up as well.

14. After Hour

Wear time: 12 hours

94. Jack Burgundy

 Wear time: 12 hours

95. Stand By Me

I also used 14 After Hour on my lower corners

Wear time: 10 hours

Do I recommend these eyeshadows? Yes! Especially 94 Jack Burgundy. It's a gorgeous shade and the pigmentation is great! However 95 Stand By Me doesn't hold up well without eye primer so do take that into consideration. 14 Stand By Me is easy to blend and shows up well on the skin with and without primer.

Until next time, annyeong~
